     Summer 2007

In the summer of 2007, a small group of 15 adults and students formed the PT Alumni Band to perform at the Trafford Community Days and the Penn Township Fall Festival.

Later, in October of 2007, by popular demand, the Penn Township Alumni Band became the 25 member Penn-Trafford (PT) Community Band, and began entertaining audiences throughout the local area with their Christmas performances and lively summer performances.

In less than 2 years, the PT Community Band has grown to over 45 members, and now entertains audiences throughout Westmoreland, Allegheny County, and Western PA. Participants in the PT Community Band range in age from 13 to 73, and adults and youth of all talent levels are invited to join.
